HELLO TO SAYING 'GOODBYE'

With my recent increase in travelling, I've been reminded of the necessity of fashion when you're in the air. It can be cold, it can be noisy and it can be dysfunctional. So it's all the more important than when you're saying goodbye to your house, your family or your country, you say 'Hello' to doing so in style. This is how to say 'Hello' to saying goodbye, Dolls!

The fluster of running through airports, trying to find your gate and making your boarding time can be a hot task. However, once you settle in and relax at your designated seat, the plane itself is often freezing cold. Over years of experiencing this temperature debacle, I've become devoted to my travelling lover... Layers. I nearly always wear stockings on my flights.

From one shopaholic to another, stockings faultlessly make a woman look elegant, sophisticated and sexy.

I wear my stockings underneath a skirt or dress and if the airport mayhem becomes too sweaty, it's one swift movement and then my legs are free to breathe. Cardigans aren't so bulletproof as there is an attached reputation. Although they are often associated with an older demographic of women, I believe that when worn correctly, all age groups can pull cardigans off. They're much less heavy than jumpers and pullovers which is preferable when you're a little chilly coming off the plane but don't want to be sweltering as you begin performing tasks such as attending your baggage claim.

Masks are my preferred way to replenish skin, hair and nails that become weakened and damaged due to excessive in-flight air conditioning. They're practical, of course, but they're also such a relaxing form of self-care over a short time window that can often be incredibly stressful. If you're travelling with somebody else, it can also be a way to connect, uniting over a shared experience of lush.

I've kept this blog post short and sweet like the mini skirt I wear over my stockings. Remember, Dolls, if you follow every step, you'll know exactly how to say 'Hello' to saying 'Goodbye'.
