Le Maquillage On A Budget

The end of June marks the end of the financial year and I hope that upon looking at your bank balance you see an abundance of dough, Dolls! But above all else, I hope that when you see those dollar signs, you reflect on the hard work, energy and time spent to save all that you have. If not, let the next financial year be a clean slate to start fresh! Le maquillage isn't always affordable, especially not when it comes to the big brands. The big brands are wonderful for staples that are durable such as quality foundations. But you'd be surprised at the quality of cheaper brands sold at dollar stores, pharmacies and shopping malls. I've meticulously scoured le maquillage brands and products to allow my Shopaholics to seek prosperity in the financial year to come.

Often we associate status with quality which is never the case. It's like being the most popular girl in school, they might be pretty and shiny but more often than not, their personalities aren't so compatible with yours. Shopaholics, you know how much I love designer brands but I confess that less prestigious brands have worked their charms on me on many occasions. For example, N.Y.C (New York Colour) has an incredible range. The brand has now shut down but in my opinion, its products are so good that the brand is still palpable. Ma préfère product is N.Y.C Big Bold Plumping & Shine Lip Gloss. I've been using the product for years. It makes your lips triple in size and shimmer like the stars in the night sky. And for a bonus, it's just fifteen bucks on eBay, Dolls!

In Australia, we have three leading supermarkets that supply groceries; Woolworths, Coles and Aldi. Their makeup and beauty sections deserve more praise because although some of their products are cheap and nasty, I regularly find quality bargains that I use daily. I have been flabbergasted on multiple occasions upon finding those supermarket items are more effective than overpriced branded items from select makeup stores. One of these items is Woolworths' eyeliner. For just seven dollars, the nifty eyeliner tool allows for a fool-proof wing application. Its colour is potent, creating a bold and powerful look. There are a lot of things I'd do for seven bucks, Dolls, but discarding this eyeliner is not one of them.

Aldi is renowned for its super cheap deals nationwide. But their skincare range by LACURA is what you should be peeling your eyes for. My mother has heavenly skin. It's naturally tanned, pimple-less and wrinkle-free and did I mention that she turns fifty this year? When my mother recommends a skincare range, you don't ask questions, Dolls, you just buy. Their serum, night cream and eye gel are her préfère produits.

Phew! That was a lot of money talk, I know. But what Doll would want to buy one makeup product when she can get three for the same price? Knowing the market is critical to the longevity of your prettiness. Women especially must understand price comparisons to protect themselves against fraudulent financial behaviour. It's a common occurrence in marriages and relationships for women that rely on their husbands to sort out the finances. Let the end of this financial year symbolise the final financial year that you remain uneducated, Shopaholics!
