Miss First Class

This Blog Post is a Shopaholic guide as to how you can make any trip: economy, business or first a first class experience. First class flights are the most luxurious, their seats filled by the most experienced travellers and those who know their way around a suitcase. They don't leave their passport at home and they certainly don't forget their hair straightener. This guide allows for a foolproof first class travelling experience, accounting for everything you could ever need and want on your dream vacay.

The way of word of mouth is to travel light Dolls, but that's not the Shopaholic way! If you want to be Miss First Class, your focus will be on travelling smart. It's not about packing as little as possible, it's about choosing the items that account for multiple functions. I confess to you my favourite example of this... bronzer! Instead of packing an entire makeup kit of contour, eyeshadow, foundation and lip gloss for the flight, I only take this one little circular gift from the Shopaholic Gods. You use it as a foundation by lightly wetting a brush and doing a full coverage application. You use it as eyeshadow and contour with the use of smaller brushes. And on top of a coat of lip balm, your outcome will be a nude creamy lipstick!

I confess to you, Dolls, that I have one true love for checklists. And that's lucky for you because

I have curated the ultimate Miss First Class checklist to ensure that you're always insured!

You can copy and paste this essential travelling checklist into your phone, remove any non-applicable items and add those tailored to you. Whether you have all of the time in the world to pack or are suddenly rushed, this checklist allows you the pleasure of not having to remember everything, especially those items that aren't at the forefront of your mind.

Miss First Class Checklist:

  • Passport (you'd be surprised, Dolls!)

  • Headphones

  • Chargers

  • Electronics (computer, phone, iPad, kindle)

  • International Plug

  • Makeup essentials

  • Moisturiser & lip balm (circulated flying air ALWAYS dehydrates your skin)

  • Eye mask (to block out light & get a good sleep)

  • Pillow

  • On-flight extra jumper & pair of socks for warmth & comfort

  • Toothbrush & toothpaste

  • Nail clippers (nothing worse than having yucky nails and no salon to fix them!)

  • A hair tie (I always lose these when I travel so I make sure to keep extras!)

  • Underwear

  • Swimmers

  • Variety of shoes for all activities

  • Pyjamas

  • Essential food items e.g tea bags, national-only spreads (like Vegemite) or salt & pepper

I'd never want one of my Dolls to not experience a vacation to its first class experience potential because they missed just one key item from running late. Being a shopaholic isn't about being perfect, it's about recognising that nobody is perfect and accounting for that with a margin of error. A Shopaholic is never caught out... you're never overdressed or underdressed, you're never too accessorised or not accessorised enough and now, you're never overpacked or underpacked.

Kisses,

COS x
