SHOPAHOLIC APPROVED

Dolls, by now you know that being a Shopaholic entails more than just having a (somewhat) healthy addiction to shopping. Confidence, creativity and boldness are equal contributing factors. Sometimes, all we need is a (gentle) reminder and a dash of inspiration to get our Shopaholic juices flowing which is why I've dedicated this week's blog post to the most recent Shopaholic obsessions of the most devoted Shopaholic I know (me)! Get your purses out, Dolls... It's about to become your splurge season, whether you like it or not.

There's nothing more Shopaholic than being a Shopaholic when nobody's watching. It is my not-so-humble opinion that you aren't truly a Shopaholic if you are just a Shopaholic for the recognition of others. I live and breathe a Shopaholic lifestyle, even at night when nobody is there to witness it. In Australia, we are fortunate enough to have a luxurious pyjama company called 'Peter Alexander'. The clothes he designs fit the brief for every sleeping occasion ranging from 'cute and cozy' to 'sexy and classy'. My favourite Peter Alexander design is his poly satin line. It comes in a variety of lengths and colours, my two favourites being the long-sleeve pink poly satin set and the short-sleeve, white, bridal collection poly satin set. I know it's a mouthful but you know what I say, Dolls...

The more complicated it sounds, the more Shopaholic approved it is.

Whether or not you have access to Peter Alexander, allowing yourself to feel expensive, worthy and beautiful at all hours of the day is a critical component of living a Shopaholic approved lifestyle.

My hair has literally been through thick and thin, Dolls, but out the other end it knows what meets the Shopaholic approved benchmark and what doesn't. A request that has never proved me wrong at the hair dressers is asking for face framing highlights. Whether you want to go with brunette or blonde, it can cover the criteria of classy, understated or bold.

  • Multiple face framing highlights that are continued until the midway point of the scalp achieves a classy criteria.

  • A mix of brunette, caramel and blonde highlights achieves a subtle, understated impression.

  • Blonde face framing highlights achieves a bold one!

I've always had an extra special soft spot for French manicures. The first time I ever got my nails done was with an Irish flatmate my Mum and I had. She was like a big sister and it was the most Shopaholic activity I'd ever done. Since, I've believed that a French mani is the ultimate mani. It's elegant and accompanies a variety of different outfits. Just when I thought I couldn't love a French mani any more, I saw a friend get a French pedi. It not only elongated the feet but it was simple, yet sweet in the way that all good pedicures are. So? I finally indulged in a French pedicure and it didn't disappoint. It's made me feel expensive, confident and undoubtedly pretty. To label it as Shopaholic approved would be an understatement, Dolls!

I've saved the best until last, Shopaholics... The most Shopaholic approved step. LUKA, my fashion label, has never made me feel anything short of feminine, confident and unique. Its shape is unlike any on the market, its dainty bows are the extra element that replicate Shopaholic heaven and its softness is a subtle reminder of gentleness and comfort. I have fallen in love all over again every time my LUKA LINGERIE comes out of the wash, into my closet and onto my skin. To miss out on a set yourself, is to engage in a Shopaholic disservice.

Shopaholics, what will be your first step in living a Shopaholic approved lifestyle or will you dive in head-first and try everything all at once. As always...

Kisses,

COS x
