Freeze, Shopaholics! Completely halt on all of your other tasks because Wintertime calls for the classiest, most alluring & seductive la mode of the year. It's no secret that secrets spread in the playing ground in Winter: people remain secluded in their homes, darkness plagues illuminated cities and we see the downfall of acclaimed citizens. Winter casts a spell on the population, and it's usually not very pretty. Except, the charms of Winter fashion remain an exception. As scarlet red fingernails, brunette and midnight hair tones & oversized cloaks make themselves known to the fashion scene, the dark horses (a.k.a. the most understated, yet sexy women) begin to trot the soil. I believe roses are at the core of every beautiful woman because the truest beauties are those you cannot touch. Once you get past their prickly maze, an exquisite prize of intricate petals, versatile colours of pink, white and red & a velvety finish reveals itself. Winter la mode isn't simply an outfit. It includes the attitude of the woman who wears the outfit. Like a rose, your outfit must be so marvellous that others hesitate to approach as they are stunned by the grace in which you walk, the confidence you wear and the fabulous execution of an aesthetic outfit.

The prettiest Dolls have the prettiest fingernails. Shopaholics, an outfit cannot be complete if you aren't manicured and pedicured. Whilst some Shopaholics become adventurous with a noir or french manicure in Winter, I believe that the heart of Winter manicures belongs to red. Plain red is simple but I assure you that it is bold. Red compliments outfits with the Winter colour schemes of cream, red, beige, black, navy & grey. And I truly believe that a beautiful red manicure accentuates an outfit from matching Winter to embodying Winter - a key difference for a dark horse to make.

It's unlikely that anybody will see a lace detail peeking out of a summer dress and in turn, the Winter lingerie wearers are wearing the lingerie purely for the feeling it invites. Shopaholics, being a dark horse isn't as simple as it initially sounded, is it? Being a dark horse involves immersing yourself in a way of life. It's not something to try willy-nilly. So, Dolls, before you put on your outer garments this Winter, you must first become a rose, lather your nails in scarlet and decorate your skin in noir lace.
