The Loves of a Shopaholic
From one shopaholic to another, Dolls, let me tell you my recent la mode & le maquillage loves. I promise, by the end of this post, your bank account will be empty and your Shopaholic needs will be fulfilled.
At my work, we sell a collection of candles founded by an Australian company called 'Glasshouse'. When I say that their candles smell divine, I mean that they SMELL DIVINE. My top three favourite fragrances are:
'A TAHAA AFFAIR'
'ONE NIGHT IN RIO'
'MOVIE NIGHT'
I'm not the best at self-care and burning a beautifully scented candle is one of the most mindless, yet effective, self-care activities. It requires little effort to burn one and having a room that smells like heaven makes me feel expensive and allows me to completely unwind and relax.
Thigh high stockings are practical & pretty... my type of item on a Shopaholic list because I can get away with classifying a 'want' purchase as a 'need'. Thigh high stockings complete outfits because if you find the ones with lacy detailing or bows, this element of your outfit is an accessory, allowing you to look that little bit classier, devout & shopaholic than everyone else.
Speaking of accessories, my go-to one recently has been mini, black, leather purses. They are somewhat basic but we're just past the point of the trending clock where everyone had this accessory. Thankfully, it's the pinnacle point that will allow you to look unique and not like a follower.
My Mum told me that when she was in high-school, having multiple ear piercings was typical style for the punk cliques. However, in recent years, it's also been adopted and reclaimed by the fashionista queens b's of high school. I see men and women who are wearing the most elaborate and well-thought out outfits perfectly seal their deal with the use of earring stacking. The favourite ear piercing of mine is my trigs and a close-second are my flats. They say beauty is pain dolls so the question you have to answer is will you bear the pain for a seat at the ball?
My final Shopaholic love, Dolls, is the recent obsession I have with vintage gold watches. They are classic, they are timeless, and their luxury cannot be contested. I recently discovered a brand that has manufactured the gold watch of my dreams. Aren't you just so lucky to have me, Dolls, the Shopaholic who has vowed to confess everything I know to you forevermore?
