THE ULTIMATE SHOPAHOLIC WISHLIST

Wishlists are obviously a sign of incredible privilege. Growing up, if I'd given my mum a wishlist, I would've received an eye roll at best and a night on the curb at worst. I was taught to not expect gifts and to instead, be grateful for everything I already owned and unbelievably grateful for anything above and beyond that. So writing the ultimate shopaholic wishlist feels out of character for me. Whilst I am indeed a dire Shopaholic today, I am also a person who values all walks of kindness and generosity despite its place in my wishlist or its price tag. So, please, take my wishlist with a grain of salt. Share it only with those who ask for it and expect nothing more and nothing less than the love of those around you this coming Christmas. For those who are lucky enough to have the opportunity to make use of my wishlist, get excited, because it truly is the ultimate wishlist for a true shopaholic!

Forever Jewellery

For a long time, tattoos have been the 'accessory' that lasts a lifetime. However, tattoos have spurred a negative reputation over time from certain groups in society. For that reason, many people choose to abstain from getting them because of, for example, a fear of judgement or religious guidelines. And if that's you, this may be your next permanent, no-strings-attatched & perfectly pretty Shopaholic obsession... I know when I first heard about it, it became mine! Forever jewellery is a bracelet, necklace or anklet made true to your size and your size only. The chain gets its final, unreleasable link as it's made. My Shopaholic advice is to make sure the company you choose specifies shower durability and airport security safety so you don't get caught in the Shopaholic scandal of a lifetime!

Record Player

I'm a sucker for music related gifts. Music can have so much meaning attached to it. So often, we relate songs or artists to our lovers, our friends and our family. A piece of music, I believe, can be shared between two people the way a place or a moment in time can and often the meaning attached is everlasting. For example, my mum and I have, over the course of my life, stumbled upon many songs that we've shared an equal love for, shouting them at the top of our lungs on car drives or singing them together to fall asleep. On my eighteenth birthday, my mum put every one of those songs that she could think of into one album and to this day, its probably the most personalised gift I've ever received. That's one of my musical Wishlist items... A mixtape. But if you're lucky enough to have someone as thoughtful as my mum who's already made you a mixtape, my second musical wishlist item is a classic record player. The beautiful thing about owning a record player is that anyone with the knowledge of your ownership, can keep this item alive on your wishlist by purchasing you records, allowing you to build up a collection. A record player is one of those special gifts... The type that keeps on giving.

Le Maquillage

I confess to you, Shopaholics, that my makeup routine is embarrassingly bland, simple and repetitive purely because it is not one of my Shopaholic strengths. The few items I use are the ones I buy time and time again because truthfully, it's all I know how to apply well, consistently. However, there are three fundamental reasons that I adore receiving makeup as a gift.

#1 Because it forces me to use a product I know I would never buy myself considering I'd have no understanding of its usage or worth.

#2 Because I love having the opportunity of discovering new products that I didn't know existed and falling in love with them.

#3 Because I get to become apart of trends and labelling myself as a proud owner of designer brands. If it was just up to myself, I'd buy something generic and cheap because I apply minimal product and my lack of makeup indulgence means it's somewhat all the same to me.

Some makeup items and brands on my Wishlist are: Charlotte Tilbury, La Mer Skincare, Fenty Beauty Lip Gloss, Westman Atelier Highlighter, Soap & Glory Body Care & Dior Lipstick!

Brown Leather Boots

I fantasise about the day I own a luxurious pair of stylish, elegant, perfect mousse chocolate boots, preferably handcrafted by an Italian designer that I carefully chose on my travels to Milan. If you don't share my fantasy, Dolls, you can be booted (pun-intended) from being privy to my ultimate Shopaholic wishlist.

Phone Case

There are many items made for usage that we've fashion-ised over the years such as handbags, clothes and shoes. So it makes sense that the phone, which has become fundamental in our day-to-day lives, is now being designed in a variety of ways as a mean of being stylish, creative and expressive. It is my opinion that there are two foolproof ways to go about gifting and receiving iPhone cases. The first is through a personalised engraving and the second is through a design that is as equally appropriate as it is aesthetic. My personal favourite brands that are without a doubt on my Shopaholic Wishlist:

I've felt overjoyed writing this Blog Post for you, Dolls, because it's been my first sight of Christmas this year. Did you know, Dolls, Christmas is my favourite holiday season? So, it is my promise, that genuine sentiment, honesty and love can be found in every word. And that's how you know, Shopaholics, that this is 'The Ultimate Shopaholic Wishlist'.

Kisses,

COS x
