Updated Le Maquillage Routine: Perfect. Pretty. Princess.

I love experimenting with makeup. When I go on holidays, I either leave most of my makeup at home or lose products during transit. This results in me having to buy new things or ask to borrow from my friends and family, forcing me to become creative and discover new obsessions. I thought my makeup routine was set in stone but since I've been travelling in recent weeks, I've adopted new methods and practices that make me feel like even more of a perfect, pretty, princess than before! So, this is my new go-to: The perfect, pretty, princess, le maquillage routine!
I've always associated princess makeup with lots of pretty sparkles and glitter, lightening the eyes in particular. But this type of princess has been out of date for some time now! The modern-day perfect, pretty, princess has mystery, intrigue, and an ulterior purpose to just being a smiling face. In light of this, I've begun combining darker shades like nude and brown with a finish of light glitter and a thin coat of eyeliner.
It's the golden combination of sweetness and sultry.
Recently, I've felt like a dead woman walking as my energy levels have plummeted to an all-time low. At this point in my life, concealer is a critical step in my triple P le maquillage routine (I wish I was joking!) Concealer doesn't only conceal dark circles but illuminates the overall eye area. This is especially important for my newly adapted eye makeup because the parts of my eye that are purposefully dark i.e. the mascara, eyeliner and neutral eyeshadow, have their chance to shine.
You might not be able to smell princesses in the movies but it's common knowledge that every princess smells divine. This element of my routine is the least rigid it's ever been. Whilst I've always had a signature perfume scent, I was gifted another perfume that smells so good, I haven't used my signature scent at all in almost a month! The same thing has happened with my body wash. My favourite brand came out with a new flavour of rhubarb and raspberry and I swear, Dolls, it's not just the fact that it's pink that I love it. The mildness of rhubarb combined with the sweetness of perfume truly has me feeling like I smell of a perfect, pretty, princess.
My perfect, pretty, princess le maquillage routine has thoughtfully flourished into all its glory over months of joyful trial and error. I am beyond satisfied with my results. It is no exaggeration that this routine allows me to feel perfect. To feel pretty. And to feel like a princess!
